The stage is set for the third rides of the 2017 Euston Park Endurance calendar with two days of world class endurance this Friday and Saturday (21st and 22nd July.) The HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Endurance Cup Festival, presented by Longines, has attracted over 100 entries, with nine nations represented.
Four FEI classes: CEI 1* (80km) CEI 2*(120km) CEIYJ 2* (120km) and CEI 3* (160km) are taking place on Saturday, with an additional CEI 1* on the Friday. Organisers are delighted to report that the young rider class has entries from 16 riders from five nations.
Course designers have incorporated a brand new loop for this edition, taking riders out to the King’s Forest and incorporating the majestic Queen Mary’s Ride, in a move that adds variety for the competitors and showcases more fabulous countryside and tracks.
Also new for this ride, ALL participants will be fitted with state-of-the-art GPS trackers and their progress can be followed from anywhere in the world using the Tawqeet app and via www.eustonparkendurance.co.uk .
The fabulous Euston Park facilities have been particularly well used around the July rides: The British Endurance Team have held their final team selection ahead of the European Championships in August and on Sunday Lady Clare Euston will host her traditional Suffolk Punch Show, showcasing this fabulous native rare breed, a very different type of horse to that usually seen competing at Euston Park.
